The Townsend Center strives to bring programming to the stage that not only entertains, but also teaches, inspires, and fosters growth within whether in the audience and the community. This season, we are bringing the award winning show Einstein! in the fall, which goes in depth into the struggles his theory, family, and colleagues and how imagination plays a key role in solving both his scientific and interpersonal problems. This show is open to public and private school groups as well as home school groups. In January 2026, we have Dr. Kevin Spencer doing a residency to educate the teachers and health care professionals of today and tomorrow, but is also available for visits to your school for interactive sessions for special education classrooms. For more details on these two experiences and how to book, please see below.

EINSTEIN! ~ Imagination Encompasses the World is a dynamic 50-minute live performance designed for middle and high school students, bringing Albert Einstein to life in a way that's engaging, educational, and inspiring. Through humor, 3D visuals, and interactive thought experiments, students journey with Einstein as he wrestles with his theory, family, and colleagues, but goes deeper with his thought experiments, and how his imagination played a key role in his solving relativity and helping him rise above his personal and professional challenges.  This award-winning show highlights the power of imagination in science and features a live experiment that encourages students to think critically, creatively, courageously while giving us a deeper explanation of how using our own imaginations can improve our lives.
