Townsend Center for the Performing Arts: Main Stage
Carrollton, Georgia
Monday, 14 October 2019 - 7:30 PM
Dusty Groove: The Sound of Transition follows Rick Wojcik, owner of Dusty Groove a Chicago vinyl shop. Vinyl sales just keep rising. In the U.S., vinyl sales hit a record high (pun intended) in 2019 with an estimated 9.7 million album sales. That's a 12% increase from 8.6 million in 2017. Used vinyl remains attractive to collectors, and is luring a new, younger generation of customers too - with used vinyl stores opening in big and small towns alike, and the international phenomenon of Record Store Day sweeping the world each April. People who dig records will dig this film.
