Under the direction of Dr. Daniel F. Bakos, the UWG Jazz Ensemble hosts international recording artist and jazz legend Chris Vadala. One of America’s foremost saxophone, flute, and clarinet artists, Vadala has appeared on more than 100 recordings as well as countless jingles, film and TV scores.

Vadala's stardom is spotlighted by his tenure with the Chuck Mangione Quartet, which included concerts in all 50 states and 22 countries. His performance credits include five gold and two platinum albums, two Grammies and one Emmy. In addition, Vadala has performed with such greats as Dizzy Gillespie, B.B. King, Chick Corea, Ella Fitzgerald, Herbie Hancock, Ray Charles and many others.
